WE HAVE A GOAL! We need lots and lots of images to help this site be successful. As a start we want to reach 10,000 images in our library. So we have decided that when we reach our goal we will reward all contributing photographers with 100% of the profit* from the sale of their images for 6 months starting the day our 10,000th image is activated in our library.

We have a couple other promotions planned that will follow this one. If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook you have heard about those. Originally we had planned to do a customer promotion first but decided it would be best to build up the library of images in order for the customer promotion to be successful. As always we need lots of requests to make this web site stand out from the rest so if you have stock image needs let us know what they are on the map page.

Here's to a great 2010!

*100% of the profit = The full sale price minus the credit card processing fee we incur to process the sale of the image.

We will be in the greater Seattle area the end of this week. We will be taking photos, taking in the sights, and generally getting to know the area better. If you need any stock images of the area or know someone who mightÑpost your requests to our Map Search page. We'll be happy to fit in whatever we can. We will try to keep our twitter account active while we are out and about so those who follow us can see what we are up to. If you would like to follow us on Twitter do it! Jauntstock on Twitter

A storm rolled through tonight and I caught some lightning.

We hope to expand what stock photography can do for small businesses by giving more remote populations a voice in the demand for imagery that is relevant to their location. We know you're out there, we know you have been ignored. We also want to share more of the wealth with contributing photographers, as we've seen how little other agencies share with photographers in the name of "over head."

If your looking for a place to sell your royalty free stock images then let us know at info@jauntstock.com.

Welcome to Jauntstock. My name is Allen Boe, and this website has been a project of love and labor. I would like to thank Craig Kohtz, Brandon Miller, and my wife, AnnDréa, for their patience and hard work in helping Jauntstock get off the ground.

My wife and I are the primary operators of this little project. I've been working as an Art Director in advertising and design for the last 10 years. My wife works in the Marketing and Photography fields. We met in a college art class. We've both been exposed to the stock photography market for years as customers, and last year we came up with the idea of Jauntstock. We thought it would be great to have a stock photography service that would allow you to easily submit a request for a specific photograph you might need. Contributing photographers would then be able to see the request, shoot photographs answering that request, and sell the photographs as royalty free images to multiple users. Also wouldn't it be nice, if your request were location specific, you could drop a pin on a map to show the photographers exactly where you need the images taken. We believe customers would benefit from this easy request system, and photographers would benefit from the specific location requests. This site is the launching pad of our efforts. Click on the Map Search button at the top and give it a try.

As requests are posted we will be traveling to those locations and taking as many requested photographs as possible. We live in Colorado and anything in a one or two state radius is where we will focus our efforts. But we can't cover all of North America alone. So we are looking for other photographers who might want to join the fun. If you're an interested stock photographer, please email us 3 samples under 2MB each. If we feel you would do well on this site, we will get you set up with a photographer account. Then you can access the photography requests and start to contribute to the itinerary. We value your talent and realize photography-by-request is a custom service with a lot of value for the end user. And while our prices are very competitive for this amount of service the photographer compensation is 60% per sale – we hope the economy combined with the compensation will create a worthwhile balance. If you are interested in becoming a Jauntstock photographer, please contact us.
